We have to figure out what we are going to do before next Sunday. It was not even that warm today and the church was really hot. Of course when you think about it the Worship Hall is sort of like a greenhouse. The windows on it are probably something like 30 feet high and the Sun is going to be shining through the side facing the parking lot during services. A company that does ac repair in morris county nj is going to send a guy over there to look at the system tomorrow. I shall probably have to take a couple of hours off from work to meet him and show him around the place. The preacher is not really going to be able to help him at all, in fact I doubt that he knows much about the mechanical workings of the building to tell the truth. There is not much reason why he would, that has very little to do with his job so far as we are concerned.
Of course we have been dreading the situation for a very long time. Ed, who was the buildings and ground guy before me tried to get the budget committee to dip into the investments to get the system replaced about five years ago. He figured (and I agreed) that it would be a better deal over the course of time because we would save a lot of money in repair bills and in operating costs if we got a more modern and a more efficient AC unit. Of course people do not think past that big time initial cost when you tell them what this is going to run you. The truth is you probably save what this is cost over those five years that we did not do it.
